Judge Tommy B. Webb

"You Can Make a Difference"

"The first time I had the opportunity to hear Tom speak was in Jackson, MS for the Mississippi National Guard Family Readiness Workshop.  I was a Colonel at the time and had already talked to the Adjutant General about us not wasting our valuable time (one and a half hours) listening to this speaker, which we knew would be boring.  So, the General and I sat in the back of the auditorium at a table so we could make an easy exit without anyone knowing. Things did not work out as we had planned because when this Kansas Judge started speaking and the message he presented was not only worth our time but as we soon found out probably the best we had ever experienced. I consider Judge Webb one of the best, if not the best inspirational speakers I have ever heard.  His message applies to young and old alike and when he tells his life story, there is not a dry eye in the audience.  He would be a great asset to military leaders as a resource during the predeployment phase of military operations.

"Successful planning requires thinking and feeling from the gut and the head.  Judge Webb’s words cut through barriers to clear thinking.  The conference resulted in planning for the future while keeping in mind those we serve—soldiers, airmen, and their families."
